What customers most want to know before their first or fifth UniFi rollout.

Do I have ongoing license costs with UniFi?
There are no license costs for network, Wi-Fi, switching and video recording – the UniFi controller is free of charge, updates included. Optional and usage-based are UniFi Talk SIP trunks and cloud backups, which you can add at any time.
How does UniFi scale across multiple locations?
You can either run one controller per site (Cloud Key or Dream Machine) or manage a central controller via UniFi Site Manager. We help with the architecture decision and with VPN/backhaul setups.
Is UniFi sufficient for demanding Wi-Fi environments?
With the current U6 and U7 Pro APs and a proper RF design (e.g. via site survey), UniFi covers most professional requirements. For high-density or industrial cases, we're happy to plan a combined deployment with Cambium or an Ekahau-based survey.
Can UniFi Protect be used in a GDPR-compliant way?
UniFi Protect can be operated locally (Cloud Key, Dream Machine SE, NVR Pro). This keeps recordings within your own data center. We support you with camera positioning, retention periods and appropriate signage.
Can UniFi Access replace existing locking systems?
In most office structures, yes. UniFi Access offers readers, hubs and door control with NFC, PIN, app, cards and facial recognition. For highly security-critical areas, we combine it with certified third-party door controllers if needed.
