What customers want to know before their first or their twenty-fifth rack with PATCHBOX.

Does PATCHBOX work with any switch?
Yes. PATCHBOX 365 is a passive patching system with standard RJ45 or fiber connectors. It works with any commercially available switch and patch panel. We're happy to help with quantity calculations per rack height.
What cassette lengths are available?
The spring-loaded cassette only extends as much cable as is actually needed. Various Cat 6 and Cat 6A lengths are available, as well as fiber variants – we recommend quantities based on your rack layout.
Do PoE and 10G applications remain fully functional?
Yes. The PATCHBOX cassettes are specified for PoE/PoE+/PoE++ and for 10GBASE-T. The electrical cross-section meets the requirements of standard patch cables.
Can PATCHBOX be retrofitted into existing racks?
Yes, that is actually one of the most common use cases. We recommend a controlled swap, ideally outside of production hours or in a rolling maintenance mode.
How much time is saved on patching and audits?
In practice we see 8–10× faster patch changes, significantly shorter audit times and, above all, fewer follow-up errors caused by mixed-up cables.
Can you calculate the required quantity for my rack?
Very gladly. We just need the number/height of the racks, switch models and the ratio of Cat 6/6A to fiber – and we typically deliver a bill of materials with a quote within 24 hours.
